Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies - Front Man- Billy Mack,Drummer-Tony Handly,Bass Guitar Chuck Deuel,Lead Guitar/Sax-Clayborne Stewart

 Front man:

Billy Mack is a great entertainer and one of the best voices on the music scene today. His strong, smooth voice, combined with his incredible vocal range, dynamic stage presence, and experienced  ensures that Billy and the JJJ's will keep the dance floor packed with boppers, rockers, two-steppers and swing-dancers alike! Beyond leading the Juke Joint Johnnies, Billy is a singer/songwriter and drummer with 6 albums to his credit, available both stateside and overseas. Prior to performing with the JJJ's, Billy toured nationally with The Starlight Drifters as drummer and songwriter.

Chuck Deuel

Is a veteran of the Detroit music scene  from way back. Chuck has a diverse background in all music ranging from Classics, Pop, Rock, Blues, Rockabilly, and Jazz.

He has played in groups sharing the billing with : Bob Segar, The Amboy Dukes, MC5, and  backed  Motown vocalist Kim Weston.

 Another very significant accompishement is - his helping to craft the cool Jazz stylings of The Bobby Epstein trio

Energy, Experience, & Rock solid demeanor--- Who could ask for more!!!

 

Lead Guitar:

Scotty Clauser does more than just rip a great lead solo- he plays a sweet slide,and dobro as well. This guitar slingin' rock-n-roll vet has played with The RoadhouseDawgs, The Bounders,Sea Monkeys plus many more.... When not jammin' with The JJJ's, his other gig is sound tec for The Towsley Theater at WCC.

Ed Rutkowski

Or as we say-- Eddie The Pounder-

started performing jazz and rock & roll keys in 1980s Traverse City. He spent the 90s living and playing out in Colorado. For the past 18 years, Ed has been working  solo gigs at dinners, parties, and hedgerows around Washtenaw and Livingston counties, one of which was near Billy’s crib. Ed also serves as sound mentor for Community (H.S.) Ensemble Theater in Ann Arbor, and does sound design for Ann Arbor Civic Theater. 

 

With all of their combined experience, it's no wonder that the infectious energy of Billy and his Juke Joint Johnnies gets everyone involved in the fun!
